Biking and cycling in the Saalachtal in Salzburg

There are over 480km of the most beautiful cycle and MTB routes available in the Saalachtal valley in Salzburg for bikers and cyclists. With its natural diversity, the Heutal valley in Unken is considered an insider tip among all biking enthusiasts. Many routes start directly from the Heutal alpine hotel & restaurant.

 

Routes with the most diverse level of difficulty offer almost unlimited opportunities for sporty challenges and  biking in Unken enthrals pleasure cyclists, downhillers and e-bikers likewise. In addition, the famous Tauern Cycle Trail runs right through Unken.

Biking while enjoying nature! Recommended MTB routes lead from the Heutal valley via Lofer up to the Steinplatte Waidring, and across the Winkelmoosalm Alps on the Bavarian side and back into the Heutal. The Sonntagshorn, Winkelmoos or Dürnbachhorn circuits are just as well signposted and invite fit bikers to really push down on those pedals.
